about

This song is a tribute to climate deniers and their comical but dangerous place in history. The song is a distraction filled with distractions about distractions.

lyrics

Winter is coming (Taken literally, this sets the seasonal conceit, & it has a Game of Thrones Reference.)
But temperatures are rising (Global weirding)
Wind across the roof is humming
Dragon bones alive to sing (Dragon Bones = Dinosaur/Fossil Fuel & Game of Thrones reference)
When it rains and the sun shines
They say the devil is beating his wife (this is an American Southern expression)
Some will say she had it coming (victim blaming)
This is what she chose for a life (ce la vie)

There's folks who've seen snows in Florida (Climate Change in Florida)
Cactus pricking rapids in the west (Climate Change in the american west)
The beaches are freezing in Chicagoua (Climate Change in Chicago in native pronunciation)
But its calm
Under the Crest (When surfing, the point is to stay ahead of the peak or crest of the wave. If you get behind the crest, you will be out of the wave. If you are in front of the wave, you will not be with the wave. However, it is so calm inside the wave that you cannot see the impending doom of man-made climate change.)

Winter is here (Seasonal conceit)
And she is so bitter (She = Mother nature)
I'll believe it when I see it
Says the baby sitter (Baby sitter = politicians/media analysts)
And tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow (Macbeth)
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day (Macbeth)
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way (Macbeth)
To dusty death. (Macbeth)

There's folks who've seen snows in Florida (Climate Change in Florida)
Cactus pricking rapids in the west (Climate Change in the american west)
The beaches are freezing in Chicagoua (Climate Change in Chicago in native pronunciation)
But its calm
Under the Crest

Winter's grip is strong (Seasonal conceit)
But mother is quicker (Mother earth/Nature)
She says if you do me wrong
Boy I'll quit ya (Armageddon)
Momma we don't pray too much
Daddy's the deity (Patriarchal Judeo-Christian religions)
The ocean I can get at cost
But the sun and the man are free (we'll find out)

There's folks who've seen snows in Florida (Climate Change in Florida)
Cactus pricking rapids in the west (Climate Change in the american west)
The beaches are freezing in Chicagoua (Climate Change in Chicago in native pronunciation)
But its calm
Under the Crest
